Inspection Process

Accurate Home Services complies with the ASHI standards of practice. The American Society of Home Inspectors sets operating parameters and guidelines for the home inspection process.

I am a certified inspector and will perform a non-intrusive visual inspection of the house including; roofing, structural, heating/cooling, electrical, plumbing, and the garage. Also, I pay attention to grade drainage and exterior indicators of current or future concerns.

I will examine over 2,500 different items in the house in a 2 to 3 hour period. I would prefer to have customers present during the inspection process. This allows me to highlight features and benefits of the house, as well as deficiencies which may need repair or replacement. I will gladly answer any and all questions during the entire inspection process.

At the completion of the inspection, I will review the summary of recommended repairs or concerns with the customer. I encourage my customers to read the entire on-site report as well as the summary report for a full scope of the inspection. I promptly return calls to customers, realtors, handymen, contractors or any verification as needed to assist you in completing your home purchase.

Reporting Protocols

I provide our customers with an easy to understand, 33 page bound report. The report features a thorough checklist system with areas for narrative comments. Recommended repairs, safety hazards, deferred cost items and major concerns are listed at the end of the report.

Accurate Home Services maintains a copy of the report and completes a computerized summary within 24 hours. All reports are reviewed by the company owner prior to processing. This is another quality control checkpoint offered by Accurate Home Services.

The one page computerized summary is a Pass/Fail/Evaluate system. The customer is mailed, emailed, faxed, or forwarded a copy by the me, or realtor, of the summary report and a paid receipt.
